Two Nerds Walk into Hydraulic Engineering Lab...

No, this is not the start of a joke - we were lab partners together in Fall 2020 at Georgia Tech. Still in the COVID years, we had masks on when we first met. Without even seeing one another's faces, there was an instant attraction &amp; Blake just had to ask for her number (to share lab notes of course).

Fast forward to our first couple dates, hiking and sushi, and we knew there was something special about one another. For one, Alayna thought Blake was beyond organized and clean (little did she know that it wasn't him, but his roommates that tidied up his room while they were gone). Blake knew that no one in the world was as caring as she was, whether dropping off care packages during an in-house COVID lockdown (Once again, that one is owed to the roommates) or helping raise the first addition to our family, Phoebe, back in her puppy years.

Blake and Alayna continued falling deeper in love all over the country, from Atlanta, to Charleston, to Houston, to Ashburn, and now finally to Reston. Exploring the world together, raising two dogs, and beginning our careers and lives with one other, it never mattered where we were as long as we were by the other's side. We are often asked when we first knew the other person was the one. It's hard to say it was a single moment, rather an amalgamation of beautiful, unique, shared moments that would never have felt the same if we were experiencing them apart. All of these moments are forever cemented as the exposition of our love story.

The Next Chapter

The story of our lives is still just beginning, and we are so grateful to have our amazing friends and family be there to turn the page with us. To experience this surreal moment of love and joy at a beach wedding, exactly like 10-year-old Alayna had always dreamed of on her Pinterest page, will be a memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We can't wait to celebrate with each and every one of you.

Island Logistics & Lodging

Our wedding will take place at Palm Island Resort. Please note that this is an island only accessible by ferry, and we have reserved a room block on the island that you can book your lodging within, all with beautiful views of the Gulf! To book your villa, please call 941-697-4800. All villas are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we have a variety of 1-3 bedroom options in case you want to be by yourself or party with some friends. Make sure to mention that you are booking with the Adkins-Lamberth wedding for the discounted rate to apply!

Upon booking, guests will receive additional instructions and information regarding the ferry directly from Palm Island Resort.

Want to turn the wedding weekend into a vacation?

We can help with that! In addition to the S'mores gathering that we will host on Friday for all wedding guests, Palm Island has a variety of fun experiences for you to enjoy on your own or with some other guests: everything from swimming and sports, to massages, to beautiful nature outings. Please take a look below at everything Palm Island has to offer!

For fishing charters, massages, tennis/pickleball lessons, golfing, cabbage key lunch cruise or sunset/dolphin cruise, nature tours, etc.

Activities

For golf carts, bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards, sports equipment, and boat slip rentals (for anyone renting a boat from a local boat rental company for the day or weekend).

How do I navigate the island?

The Ferry: Navigate to 2000 Panama Blvd, Englewood FL to board the ferry and be transported to the island.Entering/Exiting the Island: Follow N Gulf Blvd after departing the ferry and park your vehicle at the lot shown on the right side of the map.Villas: Please refer to your assigned villa number associated with your reservation.Coffee Shop, Bar, Restaurant &amp; Convenience Store: Conveniently located to a majority of our guests villas, you can find whatever you may need at Rum Bay Restaurant &amp; Coconuts Cafe.S'mores Gathering: Adjacent to Rum Bay, this event will take place at the outdoor lawn and patio area.Ceremony: On the northern beachfront, please travel on the path parallel to the Gulf until you reach the cul-de-sac directly below Rum Cove.Reception: Centrally located at the Clubhouse &amp; Courtyard.Beach Access: Multiple access points across the island are indicated by a squiggly line, in addition to direct beach access in front of most villas.
